Some journeys are not measured in miles, but in farewells. Estanislao López knows this only too well. Traveling home on a train crossing the high plateau, the memory of Fuencisla slips through the cracks of his mind like a shadow that never truly left. Thirty-five years later, she remains that absent presence inhabiting every corner of his thought. Yet the past is not always a dead end. Sometimes, love—that phantom we believed was buried—reappears where we least expect it. And Estanislao will discover that eternal love is not simply what endures through time, but that which, against all odds, rekindles. Amor eterno. La sombra del tiempo is a novel about journeys that turn into homecomings, about losses transformed into discoveries, and about the certainty that sometimes we must lose ourselves to find who we truly are.
